I've heard the same thing about dial types, though if you reset it to 0 before storing it, it shouldn't lose calibration. BUT, not everyone actually resets it like they should. I agree with you Ash, needle type is best. True, sometimes technologically advanced is better, but other times, simple and old-fashioned works just fine! :)
